What’s your name and where are you from?

We are called The Half Eight and we are from Nottingham

Is there a meaning behind the band name?

Yes. But it’s top secret!

What brought you guys together?

We are all old school friends and just ended up all loving music so decided to make a career of it.

How long have you been playing for?

Since September 2015

What inspires you as musicians?

We all have different inspirations which makes us want to do what we do day in day out. We love to perform, song write and produce.

What has been the highlight of your career so far?

There’s quite a few different highlights but playing Rock City in our home town, Nottingham, is definitely up there.

Do you write all your own songs?

Yes we do! The four of us are all song writers so there are lots coming through all the time.

Is there a band that influences your music or who has inspired your journey so far?

We all listen to different bands from pop to classic rock. So when we get together in band practice we create something unique.

Plans for the future?

We are looking to start touring and we are always working on our debut album.

It was a pleasure to have you perform at The Vault / Putney Pies on Wednesday 8th June. May I ask… If the band were a pie…what would it be?

That’s a great question… We would be a chocolate pie because chocolate is a natural aphrodisiac.
